Welcome to Lenguia, a language learning platform that utilizes AI-generated content, flashcards, quizzes, and more to enhance your language learning experience. Lenguia is operated by LLIT Products UG.

By accessing or using our website (https://lenguia.com), our mobile apps for iOS and Android, or our browser extension, and by subscribing to our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or subscribing to Lenguia, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Subscriptions, Plans and Pricing

Upon starting a subscription, you gain the right to use the Lenguia platform for personal, non-commercial language learning for as long as your subscription is active and payments are up to date. You do not have the right to resell, sublicense, share or otherwise distribute our services or your access to them.

We offer the following subscription plans:

  • Input plan — access to personalized reading and listening content, vocabulary, grammar, flashcards, translation and simplification tools, the AI tutor, personalized daily and monthly study planning, Combined Sessions for included skills, and progress tracking across those included skills. Speaking and writing, including live conversation and role-play, are not available in this plan: $19.99 per month or $179.99 per year.
  • Fluency plan — access to all Input plan features, extending personalized daily and monthly planning, Combined Sessions, and progress tracking across all six skills, plus speaking and writing exercises based on your content and live conversation and role-play with personalized feedback: $24.99 per month or $239.99 per year.

Plan names, plan contents and availability may change as we develop the product, and we may introduce additional plans in the future.

Governing prices. Prices are stated in US dollars. Depending on your country of residence and the store you purchase through, prices may be displayed and charged in your local currency and may include or exclude applicable taxes such as VAT or sales tax, so the amount actually charged can differ. The plans, plan contents and prices displayed to you in the app or on lenguia.com at the moment you confirm your purchase are the ones that govern your subscription. We may change our prices for future billing periods; we will inform you in advance, and a price change never applies to a billing period you have already paid for.

Trials and introductory offers. New users may receive a free trial (currently three days), whether the subscription is started on lenguia.com or through the Apple App Store or Google Play. A trial can be cancelled at any time before it ends. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically into the paid subscription you selected, at the price shown for that plan when you signed up. Trial eligibility may be limited to new customers and to one trial per person, and we may also offer discounted introductory periods. Trial and introductory usage may be subject to fair-use limits in order to protect service quality and prevent abuse.

Subscriptions renew for the same period unless they are cancelled. For subscriptions purchased on our website, your renewal date is the same date on which your subscription started, recurring monthly for monthly subscriptions and yearly for yearly subscriptions. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time; when a cancellation takes effect depends on where you bought the subscription and is described in sections 3 to 5.

3. Purchases via the Apple App Store and Google Play

If you subscribe inside the Lenguia mobile app, the purchase is processed by Apple or by Google and the following terms apply:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account or your Google account upon confirmation of purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. We cannot cancel a store subscription on your behalf.
  • Deleting the app, or deleting your Lenguia account, does not cancel a subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play. You must cancel it in the store.
  • If you reinstall the app or use a new device, use "Restore purchases" in the app to re-link an existing store subscription to your account.
  • Refunds for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are handled exclusively by Apple or Google under their own policies; we are not able to issue refunds for those purchases.
  • If a free trial is offered together with a store subscription, any unused portion of the trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription during the trial.

The contract for the Lenguia service is concluded between you and LLIT Products UG. Apple and Google act as the payment and distribution channel for in-app purchases and are not parties to that contract and not responsible for the service itself.

4. Purchases on lenguia.com

Subscriptions purchased on our website are processed by our payment providers Stripe and PayPal, depending on the method you choose. We do not receive or store your card details. Website subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until they are cancelled.

You may cancel a website subscription at any time in your account settings or by contacting us at info@lenguia.com. When a cancellation takes effect — in particular whether your access ends immediately or at the end of the current billing period — is shown to you at the time you cancel.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

For subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancelling stops future renewals and your access continues until the end of the current billing period. For subscriptions purchased on lenguia.com, the cancellation takes effect as indicated to you at the time you cancel. In either case, cancelling does not retroactively refund amounts already paid, except where mandatory law provides otherwise or where we grant a refund at our discretion. Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple and Google as described in section 3.

We also reserve the right to cancel or suspend your subscription at our discretion. If we do so without a reason attributable to you, we will provide a pro-rated refund for the remaining subscription period, based on the amount you actually paid.

6. Right of Withdrawal for Consumers in the EU/EEA

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you generally have the right to withdraw from a contract for digital content or digital services within 14 days without giving any reason. You can declare the withdrawal informally, for example by sending an email to info@lenguia.com.

Your right of withdrawal expires once we have begun performing the contract, provided that you expressly consented to us beginning performance before the withdrawal period expired and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. By starting a subscription or a trial and gaining immediate access to the service, you give that consent and that acknowledgement. For purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancellations and refunds are processed through Apple's and Google's own refund procedures.

7. User Data Collection

We collect the following personal data from users:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Interests
  • Native language
  • Learning language
  • Progress and learning content you create or save
  • Voice recordings and their transcripts, when you use the speaking, live conversation, voice message or spoken placement-test features
  • Payment information — handled by Stripe or PayPal for website purchases and by Apple or Google for in-app purchases, and not saved in our database

We also collect non-personal data through web cookies. For more information on how we handle your data, including the third-party processors we use and how to delete your account, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

8. Usage Limits and Fair Use

Paid subscriptions allow for extensive daily usage without fixed limits. While our service is designed to be highly accessible, we monitor for unusual behavior patterns. If we detect excessive or inappropriate usage, we reserve the right to temporarily pause your access to content generation features (including flashcards, stories, and other AI-generated content) until we can resolve the matter with you via email.

9. Third-Party AI Models and Disclaimers

Lenguia utilizes AI models and services from various third-party providers, including but not limited to OpenAI, Google (Gemini and Google Cloud text-to-speech), Inworld, AssemblyAI, LemonFox, and image-generation providers (Replicate, Runware and fal.ai). These AI models power various features of our platform including content generation, translations, corrections, speech recognition, text-to-speech, and image generation.

While we strive to provide accurate and helpful content, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content. We are not responsible for any errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate content generated by these third-party AI models. Users should use their judgment when utilizing AI-generated content and verify important information independently.

10. Termination

You may stop using Lenguia at any time and delete your account, either in the mobile app under Settings or on the web at lenguia.com/delete-account. Deleting your account permanently removes your account, your profile, and the personal data linked to it. Please note that deleting your account does not by itself cancel a subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play — cancel that subscription in the store first.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, in particular if you resell or share access, abuse the fair-use rules described in section 8, or use the service unlawfully. Where a breach can reasonably be cured, we will normally contact you by email first. Your statutory rights and our right to terminate for good cause remain unaffected.

11. Limitation of Liability

We are liable without limitation for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and wherever mandatory statutory law provides for liability regardless of fault. In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for the breach of a material contractual obligation — an obligation whose fulfilment is essential to the proper performance of the contract and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely — and in such cases only for the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Any further liability is excluded.

Lenguia is a language learning tool. It is not a substitute for professional instruction, certification, translation or advice, and we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer with your habitual residence in another country, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded to you by mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside.

13. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or within the app before they take effect.
